Intensive International A level Courses
For your International A level (in a science-based subject), Edexcel assesses practical knowledge through written papers, whilst CAIE include a practical assessment of unseen material under examination conditions; both require working knowledge of multiple science practicals.
At Greene’s, you will have the opportunity to gain a solid foundation in practical work for your International A level examinations, acquiring transferable skills useful in your further study and beyond. Success on these intensive courses requires pre-course preparation.
Our courses are suitable for anyone studying an International A level science subject, in particular:
- External candidates studying at home through distance learning organisations;

Fees & Registration Deadlines
The year 1 and year 2 courses can be taken consecutively for those wishing to complete their practicals in one year.

The registration deadline for the intensive International A level practical courses is one month before the course.
After this date, late entry may be possible at the discretion of Greene’s. Additional late entry fees may apply and your chances of successfully completing the endorsement may be affected by the limited preparation time. Course fees do not include examination entry fees. Intensive IGCSE Courses
The IGCSE examination boards describe “required practicals” in their course structure. Students are expected to have performed these experiments or watched them demonstrated and be familiar with one of a few possible versions of the experiments. However, there is no check in place to ensure the students have done any experiments except for paper-based examination assessment.
This bespoke, hands-on course, which caters for different learning styles and is taught by experienced Greene’s tutors, enables students to understand the science practicals that they will be examined on, preparing them for International A levels or further study.
