Science practical case study

Dr. Saif Bham, Tutor of Sciences at Greene’s

The International A level science practical assessment is more than just an exam… practical sessions enable students to develop their ideas into workable investigations and to think critically about evidence. This is the essence of the scientific process.

Oya, Science Practical Course

I should have come to Greene’s last year, but I didn’t know about the college back then – I wasted time by not studying effectively for my A levels in Biology and Chemistry.

Intensive IGCSE Courses

apply for your IGCSE Science Practicals at Greene’s.

Apply now

The IGCSE examination boards describe “required practicals” in their course structure. Students are expected to have performed these experiments or watched them demonstrated and be familiar with one of a few possible versions of the experiments. However, there is no check in place to ensure the students have done any experiments except for paper-based examination assessment.

This bespoke, hands-on course, which caters for different learning styles and is taught by experienced Greene’s tutors, enables students to understand the science practicals that they will be examined on, preparing them for International A levels or further study.

COURSE BENEFITS

With a Greene’s IGCSE science practical course, you will:

  • Develop key practical skills and understanding;
  • Receive and use bespoke revision resources for IGCSE examinations;
  • Learn how to effectively approach written examination questions on science practicals.
