For your International A level (in a science-based subject), Edexcel assesses practical knowledge through written papers, whilst CAIE include a practical assessment of unseen material under examination conditions; both require working knowledge of multiple science practicals.

The IGCSE examination boards describe “required practicals” in their course structure. Students are expected to have performed these experiments or watched them demonstrated and be familiar with one of a few possible versions of the experiments. However, there is no check in place to ensure the students have done any experiments except for paper-based examination assessment.
This bespoke, hands-on course, which caters for different learning styles and is taught by experienced Greene’s tutors, enables students to understand the science practicals that they will be examined on, preparing them for International A levels or further study.
